All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/lancaster/ _______________________________________________ MICHAEL ENGLE Michael Engle, 74 years old, died at 5 o’clock at his home, Cedar St., Lititz, from the effects of a stroke of apoplexy sustained at 7 o’clock in the morning. Mr. Engle was born in Hopeland, lived at Brickerville twenty-six years, thre(sic) years at Lebanon, two years at Kissel Hill and twenty-six years in Lititz, where he worked as a carpenter. His wife and five children survive: William, James, John and Mrs. Samuel Witmyer, Lititz and Mrs. Elmer Bigler, Neffsville. Sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren, one step sister, Mrs. Mary Cooper, Lebanon, and one step brother, Christian Engle, also survive. The funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in St. Paul’s Lutheran church. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery. Lancaster Daily Intelligencer, March 20, 1924
