MRS. MARTHA X. ESHLEMAN

Columbia, Feb. 11. – Mrs. Martha X. Eshleman, widow of Peter B. Eshleman, died 
at 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon at her home at Cordelia, aged 67 years.  Death 
was caused by a complication of diseases after an illness of three weeks.  
Surviving are four children; Nora, wife of Ziegler B. Putner, of Maytown; Annie, 
wife of Joseph H. Tyson, of Ironville; Barbara, wife of Charles A. Dresher, of 
Kinderhook, and Frederick, at home.  One sister and a brother also survive, Mrs. 
Barbara Hoffheins of Lancaster, and Ephraim Bard, of Ironville.  Deceased was a 
member of the Ironville United Brethren church for many years, where funeral 
services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Interment will be in 
the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Eshleman died just one week after her sister, Harriet Morgan, whose funeral 
was held from the same church Tuesday of last week.
