Mrs. Alpha Lillian Findley, 68, wife of Enos E. Findley, of Middleburg R. D. 1,
died Saturday at 6 p.m. at her home. She had been in failing health for some
time and hospitalized on several occasions during the past year. Mrs. Findley
was born May 22, 1890, in Lackawanna County. She was the daughter of the late
Phillip and Pamelia A. Duvall Wall. Mr and Mrs. Findley moved to Middleburg, R.
D. 1, from Quarryville 15 years ago. They were married in Scranton, November 20,
1907. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Miss Annie Findley, of
Perryville, Md., and Mrs. Donald Schwebel of Lancaster; three sons, John Ames
Findley of Strassburg R. D.; Ralph Ames Findley of Maryland; Kenneth Ames
Findley of Florida; two step-sons, Ralph and Roy Findley, both of Lancaster; a
sister, Mrs. Alma Lamearoux of Elkton, Md.; four brothers, Albert Wall, of Clark
Summit; Fred and Harry Wall, both of Gouldsboro; and George Wall of Stroudsburg;
ten grandchildren. Mrs. Findley was a member of Quarryville Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm from the Reynolds funeral home,
Quarryville. Interment will be in the Quarryville cemetery.
