FOUND DEAD IN BED.
JOHN GAINER, AN OCTOGENARIAN.

Columbia Correspondence.
  John Grainer [sic], living with his son Morris Gainer, was found dead 
in bed about 8 o'clock this morning by his daughter-in-law.  His son 
spoke to him about 1 o'clock and he appeared in usual health.  Deputy 
Coroner Hershey was notified and empaneled a jury.  The verdict was 
heart failure.  Gaines [sic] was aged 82 years and had not been in good 
health.

  The remains of John Gainer, the octogenarian, whose death was noted 
in last night's issue, will be removed to his late home on the C. and 
P. D. R. R., tomorrow morning for interment.
