Mrs. Edith A. Gutacker, of 142 West Douglas St., Reading, died Tuesday at 12:35 
p.m. at Zerbe Sisters Nursing home, Navron, where she had been a guest since 
June.  She was 79.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Annie 
Killinger Gardner.

The widow of William S. Gutacker, who died in 1961, she was a member of Bethany 
Evangelical Congregational Church, Reading.

Surviving are two daughters, Miriam, wife of Vance Keehn, Pottstown, and Betty, 
wife of Richard K. Putt, Reading, 11 grandchildren and seven great-
grandchildren.
