ALDUS C. HERR, 82, DIES IN HOSPITAL

Aldus C. Herr, 82 years old, a veteran of the civil war died this morning in the 
Lancaster General hospital.  Death was caused by general debility.  He was a son 
of the late John and Susan Rohrer Herr of West Lampeter.

While in the civil war he served in Captain Hebble Company was a Lieutenant in 
the 122 Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry.  He was a member of Faith Reformed 
church.  In early life was a farmer in Lampeter and later was in business in 
this city.  He was an alderman in the third ward for a number of years.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon in the Willow Street 
Mennonite church at 2 o’clock.  Interment will be in the cemetery adjoining.
