PETER HERR

Peter Herr, a well known retired farmer, died at 5 o’clock Saturday evening at 
his home near Lampeter, in West Lampeter township.  He was in the seventy-third 
year of his age and had been in failing health for two years.  Besides the 
widow, who was Kate Harnish, the following children survive:  Enos, residing on 
the home farm; Annie, wife of Benjamin Witmer, Manor township; Elmer, of 
Strasburg township; Ira, of Pequea township.  Deceased was a member of the 
Mennonite church.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock 
at the Willow Street Mennonite church, services at the home being private.  
Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
