JOHN G. HIMMELSBACH

   John G. Himmelsbach died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. P. G. 
Decker, Birdsboro, aged 76.  Death was due to heart trouble. His wife and the 
following children survive: Mrs. Elizabeth Mowery, Mrs Harry Banshoff, Albert 
and Emily, all of Lancaster; Mrs. Benjamin Roher, of Brickerville, and Mrs. P. 
G. Decker, of Birdsboro, with whom he resided.  The funeral will be held 
Monday morning at 8 o'clock from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mowery, No. 
515 East Strawberry street with requiem Mass at 9 o'clock at St. Anthony's 
Catholic church.  Interment in St. Anthony's cemetery.  Deceased was a 
carriage maker by trade and made the first patrol used in Lancaster.  He was a 
veteran of the Civil War, having served with the 195th Pa. Volunteers.
