GEORGE F. KENDIG

George F. Kendig, a well known resident of Pequea township, died at the home of 
his son, George K., of New Danville, yesterday afternoon at 1:20 o’clock.  He 
was in his ninety-first year.  Death was due to the infirmities of old age.  His 
wife, who was Miss Marie Kreider before marriage, died about forty years ago.  
He was the last of his family, and leaves the following sons and daughters:  
George K., of New Danville, with whom he resided; Christian, residing on the 
Rockford farm, in West Lampeter township; Mrs. Christian Herr, of Millersville; 
Mrs. Martin Harnish, of New Providence; Mrs. Barbara Meck, of West Lampeter 
township.  He is also survived by twenty grand children and twenty one great 
grand children.  The funeral will be held on Wednesday morning with private 
services at home of George K. Kendig at 9 o’clock.  Public services will be held 
in the New Danville Mennonite church at 10 o’clock.  Interment will be made in 
the adjoining cemetery.
