Israel Kern, of Near Churchtown.

Israel Kern, a well known and prominent farmer of Caernarvon township, died at 
his home near Churchtown, on Saturday morning, after a brief illness from a 
complication of diseases.  His age was 64 years.  Deceased is survived by his 
widow and one daughter, Mrs. Christian Zinn of Terre Hill.  The widow is the 
sister to John R. Messner, of this borough.  The funeral took place on Tuesday, 
with services and interment at Centre church.  Rev. B. G. Welder officiated.
