ANNIE KOCHEL The great host of friends and acquaintances of Miss J. Annie Kochel, one of Upper Leacock's most aged and likewise most loved and highly respected citizens, will be shocked to hear of her very sudden death at 12:30 o'clock Saturday morning, at the home of her brother, Amos R. Kochel, with whom she resided, at Mechanicsburg, for many years. Deceased was eighty-five years old, and had been in failing health for several years; but just before the day of her death she was actively engaged at her usual household duties. Having taken sick very suddenly in the night, the family physician was hastily summoned, but death, resulting from heart trouble, soon ensued. She was a life-long member of the Reformed Mennonite church. The following sister and brothers survive: Mrs. Lizzie Rannels, of Leola; Christian R., of Medway, Ohio; Isaac R., of Ephrata; Jacob R., of Orrville, Ohio, and Amos R., of Leola, Pa. The funeral service was held on Tuesday at 9:30 o'clock at the home of her brother, Amos R. Kochel, and interment was made at Eby's cemetery, at Monterey. Terre Hill Times, Friday, December 9, 1910
