Lentz Dies While at Work in a Tobacco Warehouse. Samuel C. Lentz, a well known tobacco packer, residing at No. 133 Nevin street, died suddenly, Monday morning at 11:15 o'clock, from a stroke, in Philip Wiseman's tobacco warehouse, on Concord street, where he was at work. He died in the warehouse fifteen minutes after the fatal attack occurred, and Undertaker F. F. Groff removed the body to the afflicted home. Deceased was a native of Lancaster county, and spent, nearly his entire life in this city. He was 62 years old. Mr. Lentz was a cigar maker by trade, but for many years had not worked at it, being engaged in leaf warehouses as a packer. He was a Democrat in politics and served as a policeman under Mayors Pyfer and MacGonigle. His wife and three children survive, Emma, at home; Mrs. J. L. Kauffman, Altoona; and S. C., at home. He was a brother of George Lentz, of this city, and Mrs. Elizabeth Angermeier. Deceased was a member of Bethany United Evangelical Church.
