The Ephrata Review Sept. 23, 1937

Mrs. Gertie Ludwig (nee Shirk) wife of Henry E. Ludwig, of near Denver, died 
last Wednesday at 6:20 a.m., of complications, aged 56 years, 7 months and 2 
days, She was a member of the Denver Reformed Church and Sunday School. She is 
survived by her husband and her mother, Mrs. Katie Shirk, of near Denver. The 
funeral was held Saturday afternoon with services in Melinger's Funeral Home, 
Denver, and in  St. John's Reformed Church that borough. Interment was in 
Fairview Cemetery. Rev. W.S. Brendle officiated.
