Death of a Veteran.

  John McKernan, a veteran of the rebellion, died at the county 
hospital on Saturday of consumption, after a brief illness, aged 60 
years.  Mr. McKernan was a member of Co. C, 55th P.V.I.  He will be 
buried to-morrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the undertaking 
establishment of A. C. Rote, corner South Queen and German streets.  
Interment in the soldier's lot, Lancaster cemetery.
