Samuel C. Miller, a former resident of Lancaster County, died Tuesday night at the home of his neice, Mrs. Mary E. Corey, Providence, R.I., after a brief illness of heart trouble, aged 58 years. He was born November 14, 1865, in Eden township. His parents were the late Jacob and Mary Cramer Miller. He learned the blacksmithing trade with his father at what was known as the Weimer Saw Mill, near Quarryville. At different times for about 30 years he resided in this city, for almost one year he has been residing with his niece at Providence. Mr. Miller was a member of O.U.A.M. of Quarryville, Red Rose Beneficial Society, Shepherd of Bethlehem and Knights of Friendship Lodges of Lancaster. Two brothers, Jacob C. Miller, of Strasburg township and Frederick C. Miller, of East Lampeter township, and nephews and nieces survive. The body will be brought to Lancaster Saturday morning. Brief funeral services will be held from Groff's Undertaking Parlors at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon with further services at the Clearfield M.E. church at 3:00 o'clock.
