A Prominent Minister of the Old Mennonite Church Passes Away. Rev. Peter Nissly, of East Donegal, died at his home at three o'clock this morning of heart failure. His death was very sudden, and the intelligence will be sad news for a large circle of relatives and friends. When he retired on Wednesday evening he was in his usual health, and until a few moments before he expired gave no indication of being ill. The deceased was a prominent minister in the Old Mennonite Church, and officiated in that capacity for fifty-three years. For more than sixty years he was a consistent member in this denomination, and his many sterling qualities had made him hosts of friends in and out of the church. The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock on Monday morning at the house, and at 10 o'clock at Graybill's meeting house. The Lancaster Daily Examiner, Thursday, January 16, 1890 DIED. NISSLY.
