Samuel Nixdorf, a well-known and much-esteemed young man, died at his home, No. 21 West James street, between one and two o'clock this morning. The cause of death was consumption, from which he has been a sufferer since October last. Deceased was a son of Frederick Nixdorf, the well-known shoemaker. He was in the twenty-sixth year of his age. Mr. Nixdorf learned the stereotyping trade at the Inquirer Printing and Publishing House. Before his last fatal sickness he was employed in the Watch Factory. He was a popular young man, and was a member of the Jolly Bachelors, and also of Herschel Lodge, No. 123, I.O.O.F., and Conestoga Council, No. 8, Jr. O.U.A.M. The funeral will take place on Friday afternoon; interment at Lancaster cemetery. The Lancaster Daily Examiner, Wednesday, January 8, 1890 DEATHS. NIXDORF. – In this city, on the 8th inst., Samuel A., son of Frederick and Ann E. Nixdorf, in the 26th year of his age. The relatives and friends of the family, also Conestoga Council, No. 8, O. U. A. M., Herschel Lodge, No. 123, I. O. O. F., are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from the residence of his parents, No. 21 West James street, on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
