Mrs. Rachel Phillips, a former well known lady of the southern part of the 
county, died on Friday at the home of her brother, Rev. William McMichael, a 
well known Methodist minister in Philadelphia.  She had been sice for some time 
past.  Deceased was born and raised in the neighborhood of Mt. Hope and was the 
widow of Jacob Phillips.  For almost thirty years she has been living with her 
brother in Philadelphia.  Another brother is James McMichael, of Quarryville.  
The body will be taken to Mt. Hope for burial on Wednesday.
