Ring, a Dane, was taken to the Lancaster station house in an intoxicated condition on Tuesday afternoon, and a few hours later was found dead in his cell. The Coroner's jury rendered a verdict of death from apoplectic congestion of the brain, due to alcoholism. Ring was a peddler and had resided at Lancaster since last October.
