Mrs. Jane Rose, mother of the Rose Brothers, the well known umbrella manufacturers, died on Monday evening at the home of her son-in-law, Grant Rhoads, at 526 West Chestnut street. She had been sick for some time, and died of a complication of diseases and old age. She was 72 years of age, and was born in England. For 35 years past she lived in this country, and some years ago came here from Norristown. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal church and always manifested a great interest in all religious work. The surviving children are James, David, John and Mrs. Mary Rhoads. In another section of the paper: DEATHS. ROSE. – In this city, on the 8th inst., Mrs. Jane Rose, widow of the late William Rose in the 71st year of her age. The relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral services, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Grant Rhoads, No. 526 West Chestnut street, on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
