Lancaster Sunday News Sun Oct 21, 1973
Mrs. Cecilia Shaffner, 84, of 1523 Sunset Ave., died at noon Saturday in Fort
Pierce Memorial Hospital, Fort Pierce, Fla., following an illness of two weeks.
She and her husband, Albert Shaffner, maintained homes in Lancaster and in Fort
Pierce. She had resided in Lancaster for about 50 years. Born in Adams County,
she was the daughter of the late Peter J. and Sarah A. Lawrence Funk. She is
survived, besides her husband, by a daughter, Mrs. Benton Pickel, Lancaster, two
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
