The Ephrata Review  Sept. 23, 1937

William D. Sahm, 60 of Lancaster, died at the Lancaster General Hospital last 
Friday after an illness of several weeks.
    Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons, William D. Sahm, Jr., of 
Lancaster and Eugene Sahm, of Ephrata; a daughter, Mrs. John Ransing, of 
Lancaster; six grandchildren, two sisters. Mrs. Ellen Koffroth, of Akron, and 
Mrs. Elizabeth Stauffer, of Lancaster, and a brother, Albert Fretz, of Akron. 
He was employed as a salesman for the General Motors Corporation for many 
years and was a member of the Reformed church.
     Services were held at the Joseph F. Nash funeral home, Lancaster, Monday, 
with interment in the Brownstown Evangelical cemetery.
