Had been in failing health for some time due to infirmities incident of old age, yet was well preserved in body and mind until a few weeks prior to death. Formerly resided near Blue Ball and had been a fence maker by occupation. An upright, industrious man very quiet and unassuming in his deposition. For more than 60 years he was a faithful member of the Reformed church. Survived by his wife and one daughter, Mary. Funeral held Thursday afternoon , interment in St. Stephens Reformed cemetery. Pastor Rev S Schweitzer of Ephrata conducted the funeral service. New Holland Clarion, Date Unknown
