Christian Shaub, age 76 years, former shoe merchant of this city, died last 
evening at the Lancaster General hospital, from a complication of diseases.  Mr. 
Shaub resided at 202 West Chestnut street and was formerly connected [sic] with 
the Shaub Shoe Store, North Queen street.  He was a member of the First 
Methodist Church, White Cross Commanrdy [sic], Knights of Malta and the 
Maccabees.  He is survived by his wife and the following children:  Edna E., at 
home; Mary E., wife of James Seville, Wilmington, Del.; John B., Akron, Ohio; 
Emma F., wife of H. J. Wheeler, of this city; James G., Scranton, Pa.; C. Wade, 
Harold G. and Charles W., all of Wilmington, Del.  Funeral services will be held 
from the home, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Interment will be made in the 
Bellevue cemetery, Gap.
