The Ephrata Review  Sept. 23, 1937

Christian Stoltzfus, 76, died at 6 a.m., last Friday of pneumonia at his home 
near Bareville. He was a life-long resident of Upper Leacock Township and was 
a member of the Amish church, serving as a minister for twenty-six years. He 
was a son of the late Christian and Katie Kurtz Stoltzfus.
     Besides his widow Rebecca (Fisher) he is survived by the following 
children: Mrs. Lydia Zook and Aaron F., both of near Bareville; Mrs. Noah 
Zook, of Smoketown and Mrs Aaron Esh of Monterey; a brother, Benual, of 
Monterey; a sister, Mrs. Mary Lapp, of near Soudersburg and seventeen 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held on Monday morning at the home of his son, 
Aaron, of near Bareville, with interment in Myers' cemetery, near Bareville.
