Death of William S. Whiteside.

William Smith Whiteside died of influenza New Year's Day at the home of his 
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Whiteside, Lower Oxford.  He was in his 15th year, 
being the eldest of a large family, and was a student at Oxford High School, 
where fitting memorial services were conducted by the principal the day 
following his death.  The funeral was private Friday at his late home at 2 p.m. 
with interment in Union Cemetery.  The family is sadly afflicted, as all are ill 
of the same disease and were not able to accompany the body to the place of 
burial.
