A Highland Township farmer was killed late yesterday afternoon when the tractor he was driving flipped upside down and crushed him. Pronounced dead on arrival at Coatesville Hospital was Wesley Wilson, 35 of Coatesville RD 3. State police at Avondale said Wilson attempted to drive the tractor up a step bank when it lost traction and flipped. It landed upside down at the bottom of he bank with Wilson pinned under it. Police termed the death accidental and said an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. Daily Local News, Saturday, June 18, 1976 Wesley C. Wilson Wesley C. Wilson, 35, husband of Carolyn D. Wilson, of Coatesville RD 3, died as a result of injuries received in a farm accident in Highland Township, Thursday. He was born in Bryn Mawr, son of William C. Wilson, now of Lancaster, and the late Mary Ruth Sanworth Wilson. He had been farm manager of Maple Hill Farm in Highland Township for the past three years. He was a member of the Baptist Church of Scranton. Besides his wife and father, he is survived by one daughter, Holly Wilson, at home, five brothers, William and Thomas Wilson, both of Lancaster, and Robert, John and Joseph Wilson, all of Scranton; two sisters, Mrs. Jean Renno and Mrs. Marlyn Giles. Both of Philadelphia. Private services will be at the Thomas J. Foulke Funeral Home, West Grove, Monday. Interment will be at Oxford Cemetery.
