Hays, son of Thomas Hays, and until recently clerk in the Fulton National Bank, was married Thursday evening at half-past eight o'clock, to Miss Bertha Steigerwalt, daughter of M. F. Steigerwalkt, the ceremony being performed at the residence of the bride's parents, No. 140 East King street, in the presence of the immediate families of the bride and groom, by Rev. C. L. Fry, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church. An elegant supper was served by Caterer Chas. W. Eckert. Though the wedding was private, a large number of costly presents were given to the bride. The newly wedded pair left at 11:20 P.M., for a trip to Denver, Salt Lake City and California, which will last until May, and a large number of friends gathered at the depot to see them off.
