Roop, Jr., of Andrews Bridge, in Colerain township, was joined in the bonds of holy matrimony to Alice A. Watson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Watson, of Unicorn. The wedding ceremony was solemnized at the bride’s sister, Mrs. Nellie H. Bailey, No. 222 West James street, Lancaster. Rev. C. Elvin Haupt, pastor of Grace Evangelical Lutheran church officiated. The bridesmaids were Misses Bernice Runner and Mamie Buzzell. Messrs. F. S Kinsey and W.F. Watson were groomsmen. The house was handsomely decorated for the occasion and the wedding was private, there being only the immediate friends and relatives of the bride and groom present. The bride and her attendants were handsomely dressed and the wedding was a very pretty one. They received many valuable presents and immediately after the ceremony an elegant banquet was partaken. A reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30. Quite a number of relatives and friends were present. Numerous presents were also received here.
