Miss Smaling to Wed Frederick W. Slaugh

The marriage of Miss Verne O. Smaling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bon J. Smaling, 
13 West James street, and Mr. Frederick W. Slaugh, son of Mrs. Mary A. Slaugh, 
637 Manor street, will be solemnized Wednesday, Sept. 5th at 4 P.M. in Grace 
Lutheran church.  The ceremony will be performed by the Rev. Allen L. Benner.  
The wedding marches will be played by Miss M. Josephine Kirkland, organist of 
Grace Church, and Mrs. Esther Wolf Molin, former soprano soloist of Grace church 
will sing "At Dawning" and "O Promise Me."

The bride will be attended by Miss Mary C. May as matron of honor.  Mr. John F. 
Smaling will be best man and Messrs. Charles E. and Elvin R. Slaugh will serve 
as ushers.
