I William Barnett in Hanover in the County of Lancaster being very sick and weak or body but in perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God for it therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all, I give bequeath and recomend my soul into the hands of God who gave it and as for my body I recommend it to the earth to be burried in a decent and christian like manner at the discretion of my executor and as for such worldly substance wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life, I give bequeath and dispose of them in the following manner and form I do depute Joseph my son to be hole and sole executor, I do further allow that Margaret my dearly beloved wife shall dwell with my son Joseph as long as she shall see cause and be provided for with necfsarry provision by him and if she sees cause to dwell by her self She shall have a full third part of the whole estate to be freely had used and disposed of by her and in case my wife Margret should out live my son Joseph that no claim be laid to her part by any but if my son Joseph does outlive my wife Margaret at her death he may fully pofsefs what was hers exept what is sufficient for her decent burying--moreover I allow my son Joseph to give to my daughter Sara to the value of four pounds in such goods as she wants, and can spare, and I further allow my son Joseph to give each one of his other sisters to the value of five shillings and I further allow my wife Margaret to have the use and benefit of Margaret Colwell till she comes of age, and then she said Margaret Colwell must get a cow out of the estate, I futher allow my son Joseph to give his mother a horse to ride where she has occasion while they keep together excepting against all former wills made by me and declaring this to be my last will and testament Given under my hand and seal this third day of April in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty two--note before signing I require W Sankey; John Barnett and William Barnett to be overseerer of this will-- Witnefs present-- John Barnett William Barnet Willm Barnett (SEAL) March 8th 1762 -- witnefsed before --- Edwd Shippen D.R.
