THE NUNCUPATIVE WILL of Alexander Steel deceased

LANCASTER COUNTY FS. August 16th 1756
BEFORE me the subscribing came Robert Allen the Witnefs to the within written
Nuncupative Will and on his solemn Affirmation did declare and say that on
the 4th day of August Instant he was at the House of Thomas Garvin where
Alexander Steel lodged and was lying on his death Bed and in the time of his
Wicknefs whereof he dyed the Fryday following did tell the said Robert Allen
that he wanted Joseph Milller & Robt. Loughead to be his Executors then he
asked the said Steel to whom he would leave his Estate to which he answered
he had an Oldest Brothers Son in Virginia near Augustus Court House and in
case he was dead he had Children and that at the saying thereof he was of
sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding to the best of his
knowledge & Belief.
Taken & Affirmed the 16th of August 1756

BE IT REMEMBERED that on the 16th Day of August 1756, The Nuncupative Will of
Alexander Steel Deceased was proved as above mentioned and Letters of
Administration with the said Will annexed were granted unto Joseph Miller (
one of the Executors in the said noncupative Will named ) he having first
given Bond well and truly to Administer the said Decedents Estate And to
Bring an Inventory thereof into the Registers Office at Lancaster on or
before the thirteenth Day of September next and also to render a true and
just account Calculation or Reckoning of his said Administration on or before
the 16th Day of August 1757
                     GIVEN under the Seal of the said Office
                        by me Edwd. Shippen Deputy Register
