I Anna Stibgen of Manheim township, Lancaster County, and State of Pennsylvania, widow, being weakly in body, but of sound mind, memory and understanding, praised by God for the same, considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof, do therefore make and declare this my last will. First, I commend my soul into the hands of my creator, and my body I commit to the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner. And as touching my worldly estate, I will that all my just debts together with my funeral expenses shall in the first place be paid out of my estate. All my household, kitchen furniture, and clothes, I give unto my daughter Anna, intermarried to George Frank. And further, my will is that the remaining part of my estate, consisting in money shall be divided into four equal shares, namely, I give and bequeath unto my son Abraham Stibgen, one equal fourth part thereof. I give and bequeath unto my son Jacob Stibgen, one equal fourth part thereof. I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Anna one equal fourth part thereof. I give and bequeath unto my granddaughter Anna Shaffer, one equal fourth part thereof. Which said several legacies or sums of money I will and order to be paid to the said respective legatees within one year after my decease, excepting the share of Anna Shaffer, shall remain in the hands of George Frank, whom I appoint guardian over her, and he shall have the use of the position herein bequeathed to her without paying interest for the same, until she attains the age of twenty-one years, and in case the said Anna Shaffer should die before she arrives to the said age, then and in such case, her share shall fall to my said daughter Anna. Lastly, I nominate the said George Frank, sole executor of this my will. Hereby revoking all former wills and declaring this to be the last. In Witness thereof, I have herunto set my hand and seal the twenty seventh day of June, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-five. Anna Stibgen Signed, sealed & declared by the said testatrix as her last will and testament in the presence of us. Abraham Landis, Martin Shenck Lancaster County. On the 26th Day of April, anno domini 1828. Before me the Subscriber personally appeared Abraham Landis and Martin Shenck, the subscribing witnesses to the within will, and on their solemn affirmations, according to the law, did severally declare and say, that they were present and saw and heard Anna Stibgen, the testatrix therein named, sign seal, publish, pronounce and declare the same as and for her last will and testament, and that at the time of the doing thereof, she was of sound and well disposing mind, memory and understanding, according to the best of their knowledge, observation and belief.
