I John Manewal of North Beaver Township County of Lawrence and State of Pennsylvania being in good health and of sound mind do make and declare this to be my Will and Testament in manner following to wit 1st I direct all of my Debts and funeral expenses be paid by my Executor as soon after my decease as possible. 2nd After payment of the debts and expenses above mentioned I give and bequeath to my Wife Susanna the residue of my personal property absolutely and the use of all my Real Estate while she lives. And should my Executor find the personal property insufficient to furnish my said Wife a comfortable support I direct in that case that home at his direction sell on such terms and for such prices as he may deem best any Real Estate that I may leave so far as it may be necessary for her support and for such purpose I authorize him to make a deed to the purchaser thereof 3rd In lieu of Dower I give to my said Wife Susanna the land upon which we now live consisting of eighteen acres and twenty eight perches with the appertances in said Township County and State and joining on the east by Land of Charles Shrenk on the South by land of Leonard Gehring and on the North by Public Road to possess the same and enjoy the proceeds or annual yield there of according to her own Judgement and keep he same in repair and good condition yet always with a view and as a primary object to pay my honest debts and after my said Wifes decease my said or balance of Land shall be sold at Public sale and the proceeds thereof shall be paid to my youngest Daughter Elizabeth Amelia being the amount that my wife brought to me 4th After my said Wifes decease my said Daughter Elisabeth Amelia shall have one cow of those wich my Wife leaves and further that Elisabeth Amelia shall have all my or the household and Kitchen furniture wich my Wife leaves and are unconsumed at her decease to her hers my youngest Daughter Elisabeth Amelia 5th Any other article of personal property shall after my Wifes decease be sold at Public sale an the proceeds equally divided among my said six children and heirs. 6th I add that my said Wife shall carry out the above named terms and conditions without going to law and shall have control of and be left in the peaceful possession of my Estate and property as I myself was and as is within described no Inventory and appraisement shall take place. The wife Susanna mentioned is Susanna Sailor, second wife of John Manewal. They were married 20 Dec 1864 in Mahoning County, Ohio. Daughter Elisabeth Amelia is a daughter by this marriage. The remaining six children are from John's firt marriage to Jacobina Catherine Baumann, daughter of Ludwig Baumann and Maria Scherer. Those children were: Jacob, David, Daniel, Catherine, John and Jerimiah.
