The 1st service was held in the dwelling of James Zerbe Jr. on the 13th
sunday after Trinity ( Aug 22 1880)  Number of persons present eleven,
four male and seven female, and four children.  A child, the son of
Samuel R.& Clara H. Gingrich was bap. and received the name of Zerbe
George.  The service was conducted by Rev. Enoch Smith, of Greensburgh,
Pa., and the text was Psalm 119-18 verse
