The program rendered was much enjoyed by those present and after the recital refreshments and games were indulged in. Miss Kline will leave next week for Washington, D. C., to take a special course in piano music from a private tutor. A GRAND TREAT There were large audiences present at the performances in the "Nickelette" on New Year's Day, both afternoon and evening. The display of moving pictures was highly commended on. The vaudeville program included Miss Mabel Carver in a butterfly dance, and Miss Stella Stoever in a comic song, were exceptionally fine, receiving rounds of applause. Mt. Harry Carpenter delighted the audiences with his clever dancing, a rare bit of performance. Mr. Hines, the proprietor of this popular amusement place, is receiving congratulations for presenting such fine entertainment for so small a price - 5 cents. COURT TRIALS There are 20 cases listed for trial at the term of Common Pleas Court of Lebanon County commencing Monday Jan. 20. Among them are five in which residents of this township are interested. They are as follows: Davilla Swope vs. Lebanon Valley Street Railway Company; trespass. J. H. Wilhelm vs Monroe Bucher, assumpsit. Titus M. Gass vs. John A. Bollman; trespass. The Noble Refining company vs. Nathan Dabble et al.; appeal. Kate E. Miller vs. Supervisors of Jackson township; trespass. UNITED IN MARRIAGE Friends here have received notice of the wedding of Mr. John F. Messinger and Miss Stella P. Thomas. The ceremony took place on Christmas day at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Ida Thomas, at Lewisburg, Pa, the father of the groom officiating. After January 1st, the newly married couple will reside at 645 West Princess Street, York, Pa. The groom is a brother of Mrs. H. A. Keiss and is well-known at this place. He was a former student of Albright College.
