All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/lebanon/ _______________________________________________ THE VERDICT The following verdict was rendered: That Jacob Anspach came to his death while on duty, being killed by the "scale train" at the Fifth street crossing, on the Lebanon Valley division of the P.& R. railroad, this 18th day of December, 1895, his death being due to negligence on the part of the company in not having danger signals in proper positions on the rear car of the said train. Anspach's funeral will be held from his late residence on North Sixth street, at 1:30 o'clock, Saturday afternoon. Services will be conducted in Salem U. B. church by Rev. J. H. Von Nieda and interment will be made at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Lebanon Daily News, December 19, 1995 JACOB ANSPACH, DIED ANSPACH. In Independent District, on the 18th inst., Jacob Anspach, aged 48 years. Funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon, at 1:30 o'clock, from his late residence, on Sixth street, Independent District.
