At 3:30 Saturday afternoon Joseph Daisz, residing at West Lebanon, employed at Colebrook furnace was injured while assisting in hoisting up materials to the new ore roaster. He was picked up in an unconscious condition and brought to Good Samaritan hospital, where he died at 12 o'clock Saturday night. The unfortunate man was struck by a derrick and had his skull terribly crushed. He is survived by a wife and three children, living in Hungary. Lebanon Daily Times, June 11, 1900
