Early died of complications of diseases at his residence, 253 North Fifth street, Reading. He was born in West Hanover, 45 years ago, and when a young man he entered Annville College to prepare himself for the medical profession. He later attended the University of Pennsylvania after which he was appointed resident physician of St. Joseph's hospital, in Philadelphia, a position he held for 18 months, after which he moved to Lebanon county, where he practiced 25 years. Owing to ill health he retired last November and located in Reading. His widow, Ellen and these brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Jacob Shirk, Annville; Mrs. Amos Kern and Mrs. John Koons, Shellsville; Mrs. Herman Stoner, Buffalo, and Scott and Augustus Early. He was a member of the Lutheran denomination and the P. O. S. of A., of Annville. Lebanon Daily Times, September 5, 1900
