Funeral services over the remains of Peter Emerich were held yesterday at Hill 
church, where interment was made.  The funeral was held from the residence of 
his daughter, Mrs. Titus Sholly, Annville, with whom he lived.  Rev. J. E. 
Hiester, pastor of the Reformed church, conducted the services.  Deceased was 
the father-in-law of Isaac Ruhl, of this city.  As the funeral cortege was on 
its way home quite an exciting accident happened.  A two-mule team ran away, 
throwing the occupants into the street, a number of persons having a narrow 
escape from serious injury.
