She seemed to be in perfect health on Sunday last, when she was suddenly seized with a spell that rendered her unconscious. On Monday and Tuesday, however, there was a pronounced improvement and attending physicians were impressed with prospects of her early recovery. On Wednesday there was a sudden change for the worse, when the patient lapsed into unconsciousness, from which she could not be revived. HIGHLY ESTEEMED She was aged 63 years and was a native of Center Square, Cumberland county. Her maiden name was Marquart. After her marriage... (continued on page two) ...to Mr. Hockley they resided in Harrisburg and came to Lebanon about twenty years ago, residing most of that time at No. 49 North Twelfth Street, where she died. In her long residence in that locality she won the good will and esteem of her neighbors, and numbered as her friends a host of people in other sections of the city, all of whom unite in the bereaved family in mourning her loss. She was a member of Centenery Methodist Episcopal church, and was held in highest regard by the members of the congregation. THOSE WHO SURVIVE Besides her husband, she leaves eight children, John, Frank, Alfred and Grant, all of whom are married and live in this city, and William, Grace, Owen and George, living at home. A step mother, Mrs. Kate Marquart, resides at York. Mrs. Joseph Henny, of Bloomfield, Mrs. Kate Tolen and Mrs. Joseph McCabe, of York, are sisters, and Samuel Marquart, of Oakville, PA is a brother. The funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon, and interment will be made at Mt. Lebanon cemetery.
