Arnold Jr., 84, of Spang Crest Manor, Lebanon, died Friday, October 12, 2007, at the home. He was the husband of the late of Kathleen R. Schmuck Arnold. Born in Lebanon on May 2, 1923, he was the son of the late Mark R. Sr., and Anna Fink Arnold. He was third degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2870, was a member of the Annville American Legion, was a Boy Scout and Boy Scout leader for many years, and enjoyed socializing with family and friends. He was a graduate of Lebanon Valley College, and was proprietor of Arnold's Real Estate in Lebanon for many years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Cornwall, and was an usher for many years at the former St. Gregory the Great Church. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. Surviving are 11 children, Mark III, husband of Norma Arnold of Cornwall, Thomas, husband of Marcialene Arnold of Destin, Fla., Jean Marie, wife of Wayne Flower of Yardley, Pa., John, husband of Barbara Arnold of Cornwall, Edward, husband of Susan Arnold of Lititz, Joseph, husband of Kelly Arnold of Palmyra, Michael, husband of Beth Arnold of Lebanon, Robert, husband of Maryann Arnold of Lebanon, William, husband of Sheila Arnold of Temple, David, husband of Kathryn Arnold of York, and Andrew, husband of Richelle Arnold of Cornwall. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, and 14 greatgrandchildren. Preceded in death by a son Christopher Paul Arnold, and a sister Jean Marie Arnold. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 10 a.m. from Sacred Heart Church, Cornwall Road, Cornwall. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Viewing hours Tuesday evening from 6-8 and Wednesday morning from 9-9:30 at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. Ninth St., Lebanon.
