  Ernest A. "Ernie" Bowman LEBANON Ernest A. "Ernie" Bowman, 84, of the Lebanon 
  Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb Road, Palmyra, Pa. formerly of E. Lehman 
  Street, Lebanon, died Friday, December 7, 2007 at the Lebanon Valley Brethren 
  Home. He was the husband of Anna Kathryn Ulrich Bowman to whom he was married 
  60 years on June 1. Born in Lebanon, Pa. on October 16, 1923, he was the son of 
  the late Allan and Stella Drews Bowman. He was a 1941 graduate of Lebanon H.S. 
  and served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army during WWII, 
  receiving the Purple Heart. He worked as a lineman A chief at Met Ed, Lebanon 
  for 31 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Lebanon Church of the 
  Brethren and enjoyed golfing. He was a charter member of the 82nd Airborne 
  Division Assn. and a life member of the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment. In 
  addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Donna Kay Bowman of Akron, 
  Ohio and Anita Louise wife of George Pence of Lebanon. A son Kenneth Robert 
  husband of Donna Marie Bowman of Lancaster, Pa.; 2 grandchildren and a step 
  sister Pauline wife of George Siverson of Sarasota, Florida. He was preceded in 
  death by a brother Harry Honafius. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 
  11 am. from the Chapel of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb Road, 
  Palmyra, Pa. Viewing Wednesday at 10 am. in the Chapel. Interment at Indiantown 
  Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions 
  may be made to the "Good Samaritan Fund" of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 
  1200 Grubb Road, Palmyra, Pa. 17078.
