Carpenter, 73, of Myerstown died Monday, December 3, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Mildred Marcozzi Carpenter. Born in Quentin on May 1, 1934, he was the son of the late Simon and Bessie Gross Carpenter. He had worked at Quaker Alloy Inc., and was principal owner of Dutch Miss Inc. in Lebanon. He was a proud 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus with Monsignor John Lawley Assembly No. 973, a member of the Mary Gate of Heaven Knights of Columbus Council No. 10194, the Victor Emmanuel Social Club, the Goodwill Fire Co. No. 1, and the Friendship Fire Co. He enjoyed music and watching his grandsons play basketball. The biggest thing in life he loved was his family and all people. He was a member of Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, Myerstown. Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Lisa Carpenter, wife of Randy Kreiser of Lebanon, Maria Carpenter Callihan of Annville, and Kenneth Jr., husband of Carla Lupinetti Carpenter of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Angela and Matthew Callihan, and Anthony and Christina Carpenter; greatgranddaughter, Hannah Callihan; one brother, Richard Carpenter of Myerstown; two sisters, Mary Gassert of Myerstown and Eleanor Harvey of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10 a.m. from Mary Gate of Heaven Church, 188 W. McKinley Ave., Myerstown, PA 17067. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon. Viewing hours Thursday evening from 6-8, with recitation of the rosary at 8, and Friday morning from 99:30 at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. Ninth St., Lebanon.
