Dale Eiceman, 75, of Lebanon died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was born Nov. 6, 1932, in Lebanon, a son of the late Alton P. and Ethel M. Witmeyer Eiceman. He was an active member of St. John's United Church of Christ, where he served on Consistory for many years, and was available for maintainance of the church facilities. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired machinist from Reading Pretzel. He provided his maintenance skills to the Agape Family Shelter and was a volunteer with the Lebanon Rescue Mission. He was an avid gardener who was a "good neighbor" by sharing his produce with all. He enjoyed the history of the Civil War and attended many youth sporting events. He was a "Great Family Man" who lived for his family and very proud of his son, David. He influenced many lives by his example and was a mentor to a 12year-old boy. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Betty J. Wentzel Eiceman of Lebanon; son David J., spouse of JoAnn Eiceman of Lebanon; and grandsons Jonathan and Daniel Eiceman, to whom Dale was called "Buddy." Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at 11 a.m. in St. John's United Church of Christ, 931 Willow St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Private burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to his church. Christman's Funeral Home Inc., Lebanon, has been entrusted to handle arrangements.
