Emrich, 87, of 1111 Chestnut St., Lebanon, died Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Marilyn E. Hartnett Emrich. Born in Lebanon on September 30, 1920, he was the son of the late John E. and Mary Fies Emrich. He retired from the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was an avid gardener and was a member of St. Mary's Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Carol A., wife of Michael R. Lear of Winter Haven, Fla., Edward R., husband of Cori Emrich of Arkansas, Sr. Sandra M. Emrich, U.S.C. of Pittsburgh, and Michael J. Emrich of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Scott M. Lear, Bryan E. Lear, Edward F. Emrich, and Andrew J. Emrich; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Hill; and three brothers, William, Richard and Arthur Emrich. He was the last of his immediate family. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10 a.m. from St. Mary's Church, 2 N. Eighth St., Lebanon. Interment at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Viewing hours Saturday morning from 9-10 at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church.
