Manheim Street, Annville died Monday December 24, 2007 in Countryside Christian Community, Annville. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Fortna who died in 1971. Born in Jonestown on August 7, 1914, she was the daughter of the late William and Clara Heffelfinger Haldeman. She was a retired sewing machine operator from KXCF, Annville which was formerly Keystone Mills. Bertha was a member of Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, Annville; an active member of the Northern Lebanon and Annville Senior Citizens; the Union Hose Fire Company Auxiliary, Annville; and the Annville American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting afghans for her grandchildren. Surviving are two sons Eugene Fortna of Annville and Ronald Fortna of Lebanon. Two daughters Jacqueline wife of Edward Werth of Lebanon and Dorothy wife of Robert Bucher of Cleona. Eleven Grandchildren, Nineteen Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandson. She was preceded in death by two sons Richard and James Fortna, six brothers Levi, Harry, Paul, John, Wayne, and Earl Haldeman, and four sisters Amy Rittle, Ada Brown, Mabel Bates, and Mary Werner. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM from the Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, 710 S. White Oak Street Annville, PA 17003. Interment will be in Mt. Annville Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Saturday from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Zion Evangelical Congregational Church.
