Lingle, 77, of Appalachian Drive, Grantville, died Saturday, December 1, 2007, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born February 28, 1930, in East Hanover Township, Lebanon County, she was a daughter of the late W. Earl and Josephine (Neidig) Spitler. She retired from Penn National Race Course, Grantville, with over 30 years of service; owned and operated the former Lingle's Tavern, Grantville, with her husband; and was a member and past president of the Shellsville VFW No. 9639 Ladies Auxiliary. She was the widow of John M. "Skinny" Lingle and also preceded in death by a brother Richard Spitler. Surviving are sons Scott W. Lingle and C. David Lingle, both of Grantville; step-son John Lingle Jr. of Tennessee; brothers Carl Spitler of Lebanon and Dallas Spitler of Grantville; sisters Evelyn King of Palmyra, Elesta Walborn of Fredericksburg, Bonnie Brajkovich of Newport, Joyce Kuhn of Butler, and Marna Forry of Palmyra; grandchildren Wade, Wyatt, and Shelby Lingle. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2007, at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville, preceded by a viewing from 9:30 a.m. ñ 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
