  Geraldine R. McCorkel Martin HERSHEY Geraldine R. McCorkel Martin, 80, of Twin 
  Oaks Nursing Home in Campbelltown, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, in the home. 
  She was the wife of the late Melvin H. Martin, who died Dec. 2, 1978. She was 
  born on June 30, 1927, in Hershey to Jacob and Mary Snavely McCorkel. She was a 
  homemaker. She assisted her husband with his furniture-refinishing business for 
  many years. She was talented with chaircaning. For a few years she worked at 
  the former Hershey Lumber Co. as a secretary. She was a member of the Bright 
  Hope Fellowship Brethren in Christ Church. Surviving are her sons Melvin E. 
  Martin and his wife, Diane, of Hershey, and Wayne L. Martin and his wife, 
  Pamela, of Palmyra; 5 grandchildren, Michele Hitz of Harrisburg, and Bradley 
  Martin, Amy Longenecker, Melissa Devitz and Sarah Martin, all of Palmyra; 4 
  greatgrandchildren; brothers Samuel and Jacob McCorkel, Hershey; Lloyd 
  McCorkel, Carlisle, and Paul McCorkel, Lebanon; sisters Shirley Meyers, Denver, 
  Mary Kohlenberg, Hornell, N.Y., and Charlotte Rissler, Hershey. She was 
  preceded in death by a brother, Donald McCorkel, and a sister, Mildred Runyon. 
  Relatives and friends are invited to a time of viewing on Monday, Nov. 12, 
  2007, in the Rothermel Funeral Home Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, from 9:30-
  10:30 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in 
  the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given 
  to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1263, Lebanon, PA 17042.
