Miller shabodeho@aol.com November 1, 2007, 11:58 pm Lebanon Daily News on 10/12/2007 Mastromatteo, P. Patrick P. Patrick Mastromatteo P. Patrick "Pat" LITITZ Mastromatteo, 81, of 624 S. Spruce St., Lititz, passed away on October 10, 2007, at Hospice of Lancaster County. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Eli C. and Maria DiNunzio Mastromatteo, and the husband for 54 years of Jeanette Formolo Mastromatteo of Lititz. A 1943 graduate of Villanova University, Pat later attended Millersville University receiving his degree in criminal justice. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1944-1946 earning the Purple Heart, Distinguished Flying Cross, and Oak Leaf Clusters during his time in the service. Pat worked with his father as a shoe repairman from 1951 to 1962 in Lititz and later worked for the Pa. Board of Parole until his retirement. He was instrumental in helping to start the Lititz Springs Pool. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Dean E., husband of Jill Mastromatteo, Manheim, Lee D. of Lititz; daughter, Lynda A., wife of Ernest Master, Lancaster; five grandchildren, Kris, Maria, Melissa, David and Michael; greatgranddaughter, Alexia; and a sister, Mary M., wife of Samuel DiFrancesco of Johnstown. Preceding Pat in death were two brothers, Eli and Nicholas, and a greatgranddaughter, Halia. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2007, at St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave., Lititz, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 7 p.m. Interment will be at a later date.
